Growth Programme: Distribution Links
Share trackable links to your approved products or seller profile. Receive the recorded Growth Programme fee discount on eligible attributed sales.
How It Works
Create a link → Share it (social, email, your website) → Customer clicks →
Eligible purchase → The programme records its configured fee discount
The Growth Programme lets you share attributed links through channels you control. An attributed order records the discount amount and rate that the programme applied. Attribution shows that the qualifying link path was present; it does not prove that the link caused an incremental sale.
The Basics
| Aspect | How It Works |
|---|---|
| What you create | A tracked URL pointing to your seller profile or a specific approved product |
| Attribution window | 30 days from click (cookie-based + database persistence) |
| Fee discount | Programme rate recorded on each eligible attributed order |
| Clawback | If the customer refunds, the fee-discount reversal is queued with retry |
| Tracking | Current click, conversion, revenue, and fee-saving totals |
The Growth discount is a separate negative fee record. Other applicable marketplace fees, loyalty funding, seller order fees, payment processing, shipping, refunds, chargebacks, and taxes remain subject to the current rate card, account terms, and order records.
For an eligible attributed order, the Growth discount matches the platform fee actually applied to that order line, including a current seller-specific or category rate. The order's fee records remain the source for the exact amount; the loyalty component, seller-order fee, payment processing and other charges are not part of this waiver.
Relationship to OKNow Rewards
The Growth Programme is separate from OKNow Rewards. Distribution links can create an attributed fee-discount record, but they do not create seller-specific loyalty points, seller loyalty wallets, or seller loyalty coupons. OKNow Rewards remains a marketplace-wide customer wallet.
Creating Distribution Links
In Partner Portal, go to Distribution in the sidebar.
Link Types
| Type | What It Links To | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Product | A specific approved product | Product-specific promotions, blog posts |
| Seller | Your seller attribution context | Social bios, newsletters, packaging, and general store visits |
Steps
- Select Seller profile or Approved product
- For a product link, choose the product by name from your approved catalogue
- Add an optional label (e.g., "Instagram bio", "Newsletter Jan")
- Click Create and use link
The link is selected and copied to your clipboard automatically. Each link gets a unique attribution code. The same selected link drives the social, email, QR, and print assets shown below it.
Sharing Your Links
Social Media
Post your distribution links on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or any social platform. The 30-day attribution window means even if someone doesn't buy immediately, you still get credit when they return.
Your Website or Blog
If you have an existing website or blog, share the same attributed distribution URL there. The current Partner Portal does not require a separate embed integration.
Email
Include distribution links in your email newsletters, order confirmations, or customer communications.
QR Codes
Every distribution link has a QR code you can display in your physical store, on packaging, or at markets. Select the link in the Distribution workspace, then choose QR image.
Launch Kit
The Distribution workspace includes a launch kit for active links. It gives you copy for Instagram/social posts, Facebook posts, and email/newsletter sends, plus downloadable QR and A5 print-card assets that use the same attributed link.
Tracking Performance
The Distribution workspace shows all-time totals across active and previously shared links:
| Metric | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Total Clicks | How many times your links have been clicked (all time) |
| Conversions | How many clicks resulted in a purchase |
| Conversion Rate | Conversions / Clicks |
| Attributed Revenue | Total revenue from sales driven by your links |
| Fee Savings | Total platform fees you've saved through the programme |
Attribution History
The Recent attributed sales section shows individual orders attributed to your links, including:
- Order number
- Revenue from that order
- Fee discount amount and rate
- When the attribution occurred
How Attribution Works
- A customer clicks your distribution link
- A 30-day attribution cookie is set in their browser
- For Safari users (where cookies expire sooner), the attribution is also persisted to their user record in the database
- When the customer checks out within 30 days, the sale is attributed to your link
- The configured Growth fee discount is recorded for eligible attributed line items
- That click attribution is consumed; a later purchase needs another link click
Important: Attribution is per-line-item. If a customer's order contains products from multiple sellers, only your items are attributed and discounted.
Managing Links
Deactivating Links
You can deactivate any link from the Distribution workspace. Deactivated links stop tracking new clicks and attributions, while their earlier clicks, sales, revenue, and fee savings remain in your all-time totals. This action cannot be undone — create a new link instead.
Labels
Use descriptive labels to track which channels perform best. Examples:
- "Instagram bio"
- "Facebook group post"
- "Newsletter March 2026"
- "Physical store QR"
- "Blog post - summer range"
FAQ
Does the Growth Programme cost anything? There is no link-creation charge in the current workflow. Normal order economics and the programme's recorded discount still apply.
What if a customer clicks links from two different sellers? The most recent click within 30 days gets the attribution. Each seller's products in the order are attributed independently.
Do I get the fee discount on the customer's future purchases? Only on the purchase attributed to the link click within the 30-day window. Subsequent purchases are not attributed unless the customer clicks your link again.
Can I use distribution links in paid ads? Distribution links are designed for organic sharing through channels you already use: social media, email, your website, packaging, QR codes, and in-store materials. Paying for external traffic is your choice, but it does not buy marketplace ranking, search placement, or promoted listing treatment. Only use paid external traffic when the sale still works after marketplace fees, payment processing, shipping, returns, and support effort.
What happens if the customer returns the product? The fee-discount reversal is queued when the refund is processed and retried if the seller service is temporarily unavailable. This prevents abuse and ensures the programme rewards genuine sales.
Is there a limit to how many links I can create? No. Create as many links as you need for different products, campaigns, and channels.
