Product Quality and Listing Readiness

Use Listings to make each listing complete, supportable, in stock, and ready for marketplace review. The separate Quality dashboard and bulk-fix routes are not currently available.

What Partner Portal checks now

Partner Portal uses two listing checks. Readiness is the catalog filter (blocked, incomplete, out of stock, pending, ready). Review listing runs an AI listing audit (product/audit) with field-level suggestions and a score; it does not replace marketplace approval. Open it from a product card, the list row, the edit form, or the save confirmation.

The currently available listing readiness view prioritises concrete blockers:

StateMeaningNext action
RejectedMarketplace review rejected the listing.Read the reason, edit or appeal, then resubmit.
Changes requestedThe reviewer needs a correction.Address the recorded feedback and resubmit.
Out of stockQuantity is zero.Add accurate stock before the listing can sell.
IncompleteA required listing basic is missing.Add the name, description, category, positive price, and at least one image.
DraftThe listing has not been submitted.Review it and submit when accurate.
Improve listingA computed listing score is below the current readiness threshold.Use the specific issue shown beside the product.
Low stockQuantity is five or fewer.Replenish or reduce exposure before new orders arrive.
Pending reviewWaiting for marketplace review. No seller action unless feedback arrives.
ReadyApproved, complete, and stocked.Keep the data current.

The displayed audit score is a listing-improvement aid, not an independent search multiplier and not a guarantee of approval, ranking, traffic, or conversion. Typed search first needs the product to match the buyer's query; its published reranker uses the factors listed in Search Visibility.

Build a decision-ready listing

Identity and title

  • Use the correct GTIN/barcode where one exists; do not reuse another product's identifier.
  • Write a readable title with brand, product type, and the attributes that distinguish the variant.
  • Keep variant names, SKU, size, colour, and pack quantity consistent.

Description and attributes

  • State what the buyer receives, important dimensions/materials, compatibility, care, warranty, and exclusions.
  • Use the most specific accurate category.
  • Complete filterable attributes. Missing attributes can exclude a product when a shopper applies that filter even though the listing exists.
  • Do not keyword-stuff or copy unsupported manufacturer claims.

Images

  • Provide at least one accurate primary image; add useful alternate/detail views where they help a buyer decide.
  • Show the exact variant and included contents.
  • Do not use certification marks, badges, or lifestyle imagery that imply an unsupported property.

Price, stock, and fulfilment

  • Use a real positive price and current stock quantity.
  • Keep the fulfilment model and shipping promise consistent with the route that will actually dispatch the order.
  • Ignore any competitor-pricing signal unless Pricing Intelligence says your account has an activated, source-backed contract.

Provenance and trust claims

Local, Australian-made, organic, sustainable, certified, material, and similar claims must be accurate and supportable.

  • Seller-entered local fields are self-attested unless the product explicitly carries a separately reviewed verification status.
  • Keep invoices, supplier/manufacturer records, certification documents, and product-specific evidence available.
  • Make title, description, attributes, imagery, and country-of-origin information tell the same story.
  • Remove or correct a claim when its evidence expires or the product changes.

The marketplace may request evidence or reject/remediate a misleading listing. Do not convert self-attestation into wording such as “OKNowShop verified”.

A useful review order

  1. Resolve rejection or changes-requested feedback.
  2. Restore accurate stock.
  3. Fill the required listing basics.
  4. Correct identity, category, variants, and fulfilment.
  5. Improve supporting detail and imagery.
  6. Recheck claims and submit for review.

This order fixes sellability before cosmetic optimisation.
